Asahi anyone? Cheers my friends! On Monday, I rode my bike to Nibetsu Recreation Forest. I am continually amazed at how many abandoned parks and recreation areas there are in Akita. I am assuming that Akita Prefecture built these parks during the economic bubble of the late 1980s and early 1990s. Nevertheless, I love that there are numerous nature spots throughout Akita. On my return to the city, I stopped at Asahikawa Dam. Another beautiful river and a refreshing dip in the river. As these days get hotter and more humid, swimming to cool off becomes more and more appealing.
I wonder how many waterfalls I can find in Akita? If you have any recommendations, please let me know! Because as you know, the BES Adventurer must continue the journey around beautiful Akita!
